MEET THE TEAM

QUALITY CONTROL AND SAFETY

IAGI logo.png

Professionally we have certifications with AIC, CWT, and Master Seamers. We perform several tests to ensure each job is installed correctly. We have completed training and qualification in Heat Fusion Procedures. Our testing procedures include:

Prequalification welding and testing

The wedge welder is what we generally use to weld our main production lines on a jobsite. To qualify the welding equipment for the use in the field, we run trail seams in the morning and afternoon and test the seams’ strength for both peel and sheer strength using a demtech tensiometer. The welding machine is approved for use once it passes the trail seam testing.

Field Seam Non-Destructive Testing

Air Channel Test

The Air channel test is used to test a long seam without having to physically tear the liner apart. We seal off both ends of the air channel and pressurize it to 30 psi. it is to hold for 5 mins with no more the 3 psi lost.

Vacuum Box Test

Any extrusion welds ( welds performed by a extruder) will be tested with a vacuum box. The vacuum box or (v-box) consist of a plexiglass bottom and vacuum on top. We wet the extrusion weld with soapy water and us the vacuum box to pull vacuum on the extrusion weld. The vacuum and soapy water will cause any pin hole to create bubbles.

Quality Control Logs

The test results are recorded both in our quality control logs and on the liner itself. The technician who performs the test also marks his initials and the date on the lining. We are committed to following all of these industry best practices because we are passionate about our role in helping protect the environment.

At Parker and Powell Environmental, LLP, we take safety very seriously.  That is why we have training in OSHA's 10-hour safety courses, HAZWOPER training and First Aid/CPR certification.
